What is Fear Nightfall?
Fear Nightfall: Remains of Chaos is a co-op horror survival modpack built on Forge and Minecraft 1.20.1. It is made for playing together: a difficult, atmospheric world with a campaign to work through, custom threats that come out at night, and survival systems that keep the pressure on. Rather than a sandbox, it leans on tension and progression - explore carefully, gear up, and push through the story with friends.

Minecraft and loader versions are bundled with each pack release. Use the same pack release on every client. Listed release IDs are installer options; they do not guarantee that every historical release will start successfully. Custom releases can be selected in the builder, but are not verified supported versions.
How much RAM do I need for Fear Nightfall?
The pack needs at least 6 GB of RAM, so it runs on the paid sizes - the size list on this page shows which ones qualify and what they cost.
What do my players need to join?
Players install Fear Nightfall through the CurseForge app and connect with your server address. Everyone needs the same pack version, which is the pinned one your server runs.
Is it better solo or with friends?
It works solo, but it is built for co-op - a horror campaign is far more intense, and more fun, with a group watching the dark together.
Can I switch my server to a different modpack later?
Yes. Open Server settings on the dashboard and choose Rebuild server. Switching permanently deletes every world, file, mod, configuration, and backup on that server; the rebuild costs $0 when its RAM tier stays the same, and its billing cycle and server address do not change.
