Into The Backrooms needs at least 4 GB of RAM - more than the free plan's 1 GB, so it runs on the plans below.
What is Into The Backrooms - Found Footage?
Into The Backrooms - Found Footage is a curated, atmosphere-first survival-horror modpack built on Fabric for Minecraft 1.20.1. It drops you into the backrooms: endless yellow-wallpapered rooms, damp carpet and the constant hum of fluorescent lights, with an entity known as the dweller hunting you through the maze. It is a short, tightly-chosen list of around 27 mods with proximity voice chat, so co-op sessions turn into real found-footage scares where a whisper carries and a scream gives away your position.
Like all our one-click packs, the server installs a pinned, known-good version of the pack on creation, so the modlist on the server matches what your players install from the CurseForge app. No hand-assembling mods or matching versions - it just boots and it is ready to explore.

Frequently asked questions
Which plan do I need for Into The Backrooms?
Into The Backrooms needs at least 4 GB of RAM, so it runs on the paid plans - the plan strip on this page shows which ones qualify and what they cost.
What do my players need to join?
Players install Into The Backrooms - Found Footage through the CurseForge app (the Overwolf launcher), then connect with your server address. For the proximity voice chat to work, everyone should keep the pack's voice mod enabled.
Is it scary to play solo, or is it better with friends?
It works solo as a tense exploration horror, but the pack is built for co-op - proximity voice chat means friends hear each other only when close, so getting split up in the endless rooms with the dweller nearby is where the real scares come from.
Can I switch my server to a different modpack later?
Each server is created with one type. To change packs, create a new server on the type you want - paid plans can be resized, and our biggest plan runs two servers side by side.
